Chromecast developed by Google is a very small media streaming device that helps us enjoy online video and music in a simple way. It turns your HDTV into a Smart TV. The streaming requires a HDMI dongle that connects directly to the output of the TV using an Android device. This requires a WIFI connection and the device (Android device, i-pad or your laptop) paired with Chromecast can be used as a remote to switch between channels.
Chromecast has made it easy to share your media with a wide range of devices throughout your home. Push content from a phone to your TV, watch movies stored on your PC without having to sit at a desk, or even stream content between devices for maximum comfort and usability.
To take full advantage of Chromecast, you may want to use it along with a virtual private network (VPN). VPNs create a private and secure tunnel to the internet that opens up a wide variety of extra features, including the ability to watch geo-restricted content.
How to Paired Chromecast With Devices
The process of pairing Chromecast with the device is very easy and simple to adopt.
Step 1 ====> Install the app on the android device
Step 2 ====> Plug-in Chromecast to the television
Step 3 ====> Check the WIFI connection and pair it
Step 4 ====> Then view your favourite channel
Why Do We Need VPN On Chromecast
1 ====> It encrypts your data, protects you from hackers and also encodes the internet traffic. But, to make these things work, Chromecast certainly needs VPN support.
2 ====> Since Chromecast doesn’t have its own built-in VPN functionality, it is important to set up a VPN so as to watch unrestricted channels on various devices including Chromecast.
3 ====> It also allows you to change your IP address and unblock channels that are unavailable in your country.
How to Set Up a VPN For Chromecast
Here in this article, vpnxon will be guiding you through two ways to set up a VPN for Chromecast using a router.
Create a virtual router using your PC or Mac
Set up the VPN directly on your physical router
While the second method may sound easier, which method works best for you will depend on the type of router you have, the VPN you are using, and your level of technical experience are you.
Set Up a VPN on a Virtual Router and Connect to Chromecast
If your router is not compatible with your preferred VPN or the setup is just too complex, don’t worry. You can use your PC or Mac to set up a virtual router VPN connection.
Before starting the process, you need to sign up for a VPN and download the software onto your device. Launch the VPN and connect to your chosen server, then follow the step-by-step guide below for your device.
